What Dynamic Menu Bar's welcome tour sets up, page by page

Updated September 6, 2026

The welcome tour of Dynamic Menu Bar 0.9.3 from Settings › General › Show Welcome Tour to the last page, recorded on macOS 26 Tahoe.

FAQ

Which permission does Dynamic Menu Bar need?

Screen Recording, so Live mode can read the color under the menu bar; nothing is recorded or stored. Accessibility is optional and lets the Pill shape find where your menu items sit, and System Audio is asked for the first time the music visualizer runs.

Can I run the tour again?

Yes. Settings › General › Show Welcome Tour starts it from the first page, with your current choices already in place.

Does the tour start the free trial?

No. The trial starts when you press Start Free Trial on the trial page, not on first launch, so you can look around first.

Your download has started

Three steps and the bar is yours. If nothing happened, download it manually.

  1. DynamicMenuBar-latest.dmg

    Step 1

    Open

Open DynamicMenuBar-latest.dmg from your Downloads folder.

  2. Step 2

    Install

Drag Dynamic Menu Bar into your Applications folder.

  3. Step 3

    Launch

Open it from Applications. The welcome tour starts your free 7-day trial.

The app is notarized by Apple, so macOS opens it without a warning. Live mode asks for Screen Recording permission the first time you turn it on — that is how it reads the pixels under the bar.
